AU SERIES WIRE EDM CUTTERS
Wire EDM is made between 8000°C and 12000°C with a conductive wire. It is a method, which provides cutting of difficult workpieces with a wire electrode in a dielectric liquid bath that removes chips and cools workpiece. Electric energy is used for the process, not cutting force. When the distance between electrode and workpiece is minimized, electric arc forms between them and workpiece is cut off. Flushing (dielectric fluid) is used to reduce temperature during this process. Flushing is applied from the surface of the tool or workpiece to reach machine tool interface.
